Toby is a low-ranking monkey in Bossy's troop. As a child, he was generous and giving, offering gifts for his mother (when they weren't intercepted by a higher-ranking monkey).
As of 2022, Toby has been kicked out of Bossy's troop, and is now a drifter wandering between troops with Nony.
