Batman was once the male alpha of Annie's troop. However, he seemed more interested in mating than in defending the troop from threats, leaving that duty to the lesser males.
Batman was ousted from his troop around 2018, and was replaced by Stumpy. He drifted between troops for a while, and is now an elderly, low-ranking monkey in Jubilee troop.
