Stormy
Stormy was a monkey in Dane's troop. His legs were paralyzed, but he nevertheless had an incredible amount of energy and determination that made him a favorite.
JW has shown footage of an infant Stormy with seemingly healthy legs, and the first time he was filmed with his paralysis, he also had a wound on his back. It's possible that his mother Stella was caught in a fight while carrying Stormy, and he that injury cost him the use of his legs.
Over the next few weeks, Stormy developed wounds on his buttocks, perhaps from his dragging himself around constantly. JW noted that these wounds were not healing, and that Stormy was experiencing pain trying to sit down. Eventually, Stormy's famous energy began to fade, and he passed away in his mother's arms.
As is customary with monkeys, Stella carried Stormy's body with her for several days. At one point, she stored Stormy in a tree, got JW's attention, and walked him back to the tree to show him the body, as if to make sure he got to see Stormy one last time.
