Stumpy is a drifter, and was the first monkey that AM came across. At the time, he was about 1 year old, and had recently lost half of his right arm, likely to a poacher's trap. He was also without his mother, who had likely been killed by the same trap, or a similar one. While recovering from the wound, he spent a lot of time with his friend Mr. Lazy Eye and an unnamed female monkey, who may have been a sibling.
