Dorothy is a high-ranking monkey in Bossy's troop. She is old enough to no longer be able to bear children, but she is still so obsessed with them that she forcibly mothers her daughter Dorty's children, going so far as to be able to produce milk and share feeding of her granddaughter, Daphny. This conflict possibly led to the early death of Dorty's first child, Beany.
