Ridgy is a low-ranking monkey in Bossy's troop. She was once high-ranking, but her status dropped when Grandee lost his post as alpha and disappeared.
Ridgy is named for her prominent eyebrow ridge. She was a capable and competent mother until her downfall.
In 2021, Ridgy was repeatedly ganged up on and attacked by high-ranking members of the troop, including Haggy's daughters. This was perhaps prompted by Ridgy trying to enter a location reserved for high-ranking troop members, a group she no longer belonged to. In these fights, she lost half her right ear and her entire left ear, and her left eyelid has a permanent droop.
But the mental and emotional tolls of losing these fights was even greater. Ridgy, now low-ranking and publicly humiliated, is a shadow of her former self, unable to take joy in even playing with her grandson Grady.
