Ameia is a low-ranking monkey formerly in the Parking lot troop, but who is now a drifter. She is recognizable by her deformed lips, and she may be blind in her left eye.
Ameia is notable for adopting the abandoned baby Dario in the same year that she gave birth to her son Brio.
Ameia had been low-ranked by her troop, but has been a celebrity with the human feeders ever since adopting Dario, sometimes coming out to applause. Still, feeders must take care when offering her goodies, as higher-ranking monkeys are likely to attack her and steal her food.
Ameia and her clan were kicked out of the Parking lot troop in the middle of 2021. JW suspects that this was because they are a large clan, and when the amount of feeders started to drop midway through the COVID pandemic, they couldn't compete with the high-ranking members of the troop for food.
